Yorkshire Pudding recipe
Ingredients: Half a pound of plain white flour.
1 pint of full cream milk.
Quarter teaspoon of salt.
2 tablespoons of dripping from the beef.
2 eggs. Procedures: 1. Sift the four and salt into a bowl.
2. Make a well in the middle and break the eggs into it.
3. Add a small amount of milk and stir in the flour. This should be a gradual process bringing the flour down from the sides and adding more milk as is neccessary. You should end up with a stiff batter consistancy.
4. Beat well for four minutes adding the remaining milk.
5. Cover and leave to stand for 30 minutes.
6. Put the dripping into a large Yorkshire pudding tin and heat in the oven until hot.
7. Pour the batter and place in the top of the oven at 425F or gas mark 7 until it is nicely browned on the top.
8. Turn down the heat to 375F or gas mark 5 and continue cooking on the bottom of the oven for fifteen minutes.
